Tom Allen: Perfectionism, Custard Guts and a Leaf Blower TO THE FACE

Joe Marler is back in the office, and this week’s patient is the impeccably polished Tom Allen.

Across a session that moves from refined grammar debates to total chaos, Tom opens up about perfectionism, control, growing up feeling out of place, and why wearing a suit makes him feel safe. Joe attempts to help him embrace imperfection with his usual mix of invasive questions, questionable therapy techniques and zero qualifications.

There are discussions about custard, gardening, childhood dinner parties, suits of armour, leaf blowers, and the horror of an unpolished shoe. The episode climaxes with some baking-based exposure therapy that goes exactly as badly as you’d expect.
