Houlton Yarners celebrate Rugby radio station
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Rugby Radio Station, once the world’s most powerful transmitter. Decommissioned in 2002, the Grade II-listed building now houses Houlton School, but its legacy continues to inspire. To celebrate the milestone, the Houlton Yarners have created an intricate knitted tribute. Gill Gibbard and Suzan Tew from the group spoke to BBC CWR presenter Vic Minett, and why this piece of history means so much to the community.
