‘Angry and embarrassed’:NHS appointments letters
Richard Mitchell, the Chief Executive at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, says work is underway to transform the way patients are told about their hospital appointments.
He says it's unacceptable that several letters can be sent out about the same appointment, sometimes late and sometimes contradicting each other, often leading to missed appointments.
