Reverend Dr Alison Joyce: 'I love the glorious messiness’
The jumble of the city is what excites Robert’s Elm’s latest Listed Londoner.
Alison Joyce was born in London but grew up in Sussex. She studied classics at University and trained for the ordained ministry in Oxford. After that she was Chaplain at several parishes in Birmingham.
Alison returned to London in 2014, when she was appointed the Rector of ‘The Journalist’s Church’ - St Bride’s in Fleet Street.
In 2019 she was one of 100 women to be granted the Freedom of the City of London, in an initiative marking the centenary of women being granted the vote.
