Grimsby artwork could become rubble
As demolition starts on Grimsby’s Abbey Walk car park, the Civic Society say they want to see the historic Harold Gosney artwork saved. North-East Lincolnshire Council say contractors will assess whether that is possible, as they start to dismantle the 50-year-old structure, which has been closed since May 2024 due to safety concerns. Last year, the reliefs were digitally preserved and 3D scans made but the Civic Society say that doesn't go far enough. Lara King has been finding out more.
