Polar Marathon: Ed’s running sub-zero and in the dark
Ted Winterton from Bitteswell, Lutterworth, has joked he is questioning his own sanity after deciding to take on a charity run in the Arctic Circle just after new year.
The Polar Night Marathon takes place on the 3rd of January 700 miles inside the Arctic Circle in Norway. The 50-year-old will be running in sub-zero temperatures and complete darkness. He’s raising money for the Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust and Charity.
BBC Leicester’s Emma Caldwell spoke to him just a few days ago. The first question was… why?!
