55,000 maps: 'A cartographer's paradise'
Discover the Upton-upon-Severn institution that's one of only a handful of its kind left in the country. The Map Shop was first opened by Tony Atkinson in 1975.
Elliott Webb reports from the store's surprise 50th anniversary celebrations, which started as a hobby for owner Tony and has one of the largest inventories of maps and travel guides in the world.
Specific maps can even be ordered in store and printed on the same day, Tony says, if the original mapping is available, which for The Map Shop extends to almost every country.
