Award-winning therapy dog Lola helps children heal, feel safe and reconnect after trauma.
Lola and Catherine support children (and staff) across Warrington, Widnes, and Liverpool, helping them regulate emotions, feel safe, and reconnect with themselves following trauma and mental health problems.
Teachers often call Lola “the calm in the corridor”.
And it goes beyond the classroom, as over Christmas, Catherine and Lola partnered with Home-Start Warrington & Cheshire and Warrington, Halton, and St. Helens RSPCA, supporting children, families, and rescue animals.
Catherine said, “Christmas can be tough for many children and families. Helping out in a practical way can ease worries and stress, and that’s exactly what Lola and I are all about. All is indeed well when we work together.”
This recognition highlights the real difference animal-assisted intervention can make in children’s lives.
