Explained: Warriors' promotion paperwork

We examine reports that the club haven't submitted an application for promotion to the Prem, the top division in professional rugby.

The Guardian newspaper suggested that only Ealing Trailfinders and Doncaster Knights from the second tier had submitted applications for promotion.

In a statement, Worcester Warriors told BBC Hereford & Worcester that the club is seeking a return to the Prem 'in the near future' and that they are active in 'well documented conversations about the future structure of the Prem and Champ Rugby, and what promotion, relegation and expansion will look like, both this season and going forward'.
