People ‘in tears’ as Bucks film studio is approved
The government has given the green light for Marlow Film Studios. The Conservative MP for Beaconsfield Joy Morrissey told the BBC’s Andy Collins she will continue to fight against the plans. The project was rejected by Buckinghamshire Council in 2024, but that decision has now been overturned by a planning minister on behalf of Housing Secretary Steve Reed, who believed economic benefits outweighed potential harm.
