Romance Fraud cases on the rise in Leicestershire
There's been a rise in cases of Romance Fraud across Leicestershire and Rutland.
According to Leicestershire Police, 2025 has seen 83 reports of the scam already this year, that's up from 66 reports for the whole of last year.
Romance fraud is when a con artist pretends to be on the look out for love and takes advantage of people who respond online.
Anna Rowe is the founder of Catchacatfish.co.uk - she now supports people who are victims of romance fraud after being targetted herself.
Anna spoke to BBC Leicester's Ben Jackson.
