Humanitarian chief of UN: 'We should flood Gaza with aid'

After more than two months of Israel blocking all aid into Gaza, five trucks with food crossed into the strip yesterday. Before the war, hundreds would carry in goods each day.

The leaders of Britain, France and Canada later called for an immediate ceasefire, with ‘further concrete actions’ if Israel does not cease the renewed military offensive and allow sufficient humanitarian aid.

Today’s Anna Foster speaks to Tom Fletcher, the United Nation’s Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs.

Fletcher calls for Britain, France and Canada to back their words with action and support the aid that the UN has waiting and ready to provide for the civilians of Gaza.
