Former BBC Rome correspondent David Willey remembers Pope Francis
David Willey served as the BBC’s Rome correspondent from the early 1970s.
Reporting on the Vatican was a large part of his journalistic beat.
The five decades he has spent working and living in Rome have spanned five Popes and four conclaves, from Pope Paul VI (6th) through to Pope Francis.
