Braintree proposes bin collection changes
Braintree District Council are proposing to reduce the number of black bin collections, from fortnightly to every three weeks. Garden and food waste would continue as normal, but there might also be adjustments to recycling.
The council said the changes would help reduce the amount of general waste being sent to landfill...

A spokesperson for Braintree District Council told the BBC: "No decisions have been made yet. The council's cabinet will discuss the proposals and consider a public consultation on Monday, 16 December, 2024. If agreed an eight-week public consultation will take place from January 6 to 2 March 2025. All feedback from the consultation will be considered before a final report is presented to Cabinet in May 2025".
