Why are some Breckland towns now charging to park?
The cost of car parking can be a factor in our decision to head to the shops.
Some Breckland towns are introducing car parking charges. Now in Swaffham, Watton, Thetford, Dereham and Attleborough it will be free to park for the first hour, and charges will occur after that.
Paul Hewett, Conservative councillor responsible for property in Breckland, explains to Paul Moseley why they are doing this.
There are plans for a public consultation on paying to park in Breckland - that's expected to start later this year.
