Closing Bucks bus depots is ‘a disaster’
Arriva is planning to reduce services and close the depots in Aylesbury and High Wycombe. Andrew Smith, a bus user in Wycombe, says it will negatively impact his life. Martin Tett, the Conservative leader of Buckinghamshire Council, is angry that more notice wasn’t given. Arriva has launched a consultation on the proposal which could see the closures come into effect at the end of July 2024. It says, “despite extensive efforts” the routes are not profitable.
