£2.5m lifeboat docks in Gorleston
The lifeboat will replace the Trent which has served the East Norfolk coast for 27 years. Named the George and Frances Phelon, the crew sailed her from RNLI Headquarters in Poole in Dorset to Gorleston. She was welcomed in with the Gorleston inshore lifeboat, the Lowestoft Lifeboat, and the independent lifeboats at Caister and Hemsby, putting on a display for the public. Andrew Turner was there to meet the crew.
