'Having Endometriosis has taken a huge toll on my mental health'
A Leicester campaigner is hoping sharing her experience of Endometriosis will encourage more women to talk about the condition.
Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women and is a chronic disease associated with severe life impacting pain, particularly when a woman is on her period. In the Asian Community there are even more barriers to getting a diagnosis and there is no cure.
BBC East Midlands Today reporter Emma Snow explains how it is impacting those who have the condition, and Radha-Priya Mistry, who lives in Leicester, tells Ady Dayman that the disease had taken a "huge toll" on her mental health after waiting six years for a diagnosis.
