Mariia: my escape from Ukraine to Coventry, via Amsterdam

It's a year since the war in Ukraine started. BBC CWR’s Georgia Gill has been hearing from Ukrainians who found safety in Coventry and Warwickshire and the traumatic stories of their escape as war broke out. Mariia Gvozdetska and her two young children had to hide in the basement of her apartment when the Russian attack started. She’s told of her struggles, escaping to safety in Amsterdam and eventually settling in Binley with hosts Deborah and Dave.
