BBC local radio plans: what it means for you
The BBC is proposing to make huge changes to local radio. It means that the shows you know and love and the people presenting them could change. All 39 stations in England will keep their local schedule from 6am to 2pm, but after that shows will be shared. Live sports programming will not be affected. These changes will result in the closure of about 48 staff posts, with the BBC explaining it wants to prioritise digital content. BBC CWR's been taking a look at what it means for you, and speaking to the BBC bosses about why the changes have been proposed.
