There's trouble down at the allotments...

In February Guildford Borough Council announced they'd given the go ahead to relocate the Bellfields allotments - clearing the way for 15 hundred new homes as part of the Weyside Urban Village.

The new site is on North Moors Lane, but 5 months on the allotment holders are angry and frustrated that it doesn't provide an "Acceptable equivalent", as required under the Allotment Act.

They say it's littered with weeds and rubbish and is in an isolated location.
