‘Thank you isn’t enough’
Phil Bainbridge can’t find the words to thank the NHS staff who saved his life, so he decided to get a tattoo in tribute to them.
The 40-year-old, who contracted Covid-19, spent five-and-a-half weeks on ECMO at the Glenfield Hospital and nearly died twice.
Hospital staff kept a diary which highlighted just how close he was to losing his life.
Phil, his wife Jodie, and their consultant Dr Susan Dashey spoke to BBC Radio Leicester’s Jimmy Carpenter.
