Bellfield Junior School: Community Spirit at Christmas
We return to Bellfield Junior School in Northfield, a deprived area of Birmingham, who we are following over a full school year to see how staff and children are affected by the current funding shortfalls.
So far in our series we’ve heard how the school went down to a four-and- a half day week as a cost saving measure, how it's been struggling to maintain its buildings, and how it's funded its much-needed pastoral care service.
In this latest report – Emma Jane Kirby caught up with staff and pupils as they celebrated some good news - a mystery unexpected gift and the approach of Christmas.
