Fashion models: ‘They are never told directly you need to be skinny'

Juno Dawson’s latest young adult novel Meat Market was inspired by her experiences of working as a fashion journalist and speaking to models, editors and agents. It tells the story of young girls seduced by huge sums of money into an air-brushed world of perfection where they are vulnerable to predators, exploitation and ill health. She spoke to Radio 4's Woman's Hour presenter Jane Garvey.
