In session
This week's live session comes from the Kidderminster band Dharma Bums, who focus on transporting the listener to another time or place.
Drawing from a wide range of influences across the musical spectrum, the band are also inspired by literature, art, film, history, current affairs and personal experience.
“Highly nostalgic and highly recommended - almost like a musical Tardis!” - Andrew Marston.

Cruise ships
This week, we're starting a brand new series looking at the life of a musician on board a cruise ship.
Jasper Taylor, from Worcester, is currently touring around the Australian coast on the Pacific Jewel.
In recent years, his band, Jasper in the Company of Others, has shared the stage with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ben Howard, Ed Sheeran, Cast and Toploader.
They’ve been long fixtures on BBC Hereford & Worcester and have joined us on many of our festival stages in the past!

Musicians' Masterclass
So, you're presented with the opportunity to manage Adele.
Do you:
Jonathan Dickins joined us at BBC Introducing LIVE at Tobacco Dock in London.
Do you:
- A) Take her out for an expensive dinner with everyone in your team.
- B) Invite her to a swanky London office to discuss contracts.
- C) Meet her outside a petrol station and take her back to yours for tea and biscuits?

The live music advent calendar
Throughout the whole of December, we're dedicating the second hour of our shows to live music.
We won't be playing a single CD, MP3, tape or vinyl - because we're giving you the music you won't be able to get anywhere else on the planet!
This week, hear tracks performed in the BBC Live Lounge, HopFest in Bewdley, Number 8 in Pershore, De Koffie Pot in Hereford and at Worcester's Christmas Lights.

Ellie Goulding in the Live Lounge
Ellie Goulding was in the live lounge, last week, teasing ahead to her new album.
The Herefordshire musician started singing as part of her drama classes at Lady Hawkins High School, while living in Kington, later performing at Open Mic nights while attending Hereford Sixth Form College - at Doodies (which is no more) on St Owen's Street.
She's now Herefordshire's most successful-ever export - having achieved more top 40 records than the Pretenders and Mott The Hoople put together.

Switching on Worcester's Christmas Lights
Our sessions, this month, come from the Worcester Christmas Lights switch-on ceremony.
Not only was this a fantastic opportunity for the musicians we selected (who didn’t even know they were being considered for this incredible gig), but also a chance for thousands of people to see the amazing talent we have right here on our doorstep.
As always, we also hope this will also inspire other musicians to share their music with us.
The event, this year, moved from the Guildhall to the newly-revamped Cathedral Square under the statue of Sir Edward Elgar.

New Open Mic
We're catching up with the organisers of Worcester's newest Open Mic night, which is being organised by the Woo Town Hillbillies!
The event, which takes place monthly at the Sociable Beer Company, is offering musicians the chance to earn a £40 bar voucher.

BBC Music Introducing in Kidderminster
Our next recording session will take place on Sunday, 27 January at Kidderminster College.
The venue, which has made a name for itself as being the national HQ of the government-funded MAS Records scheme, is supported by Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Ricky Wilson (Kaiser Chiefs) and Karl Hyde (Underworld).
We'll be bringing along handpicked musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire to record their live sessions for broadcast.
They've all uploaded their tracks to the BBC Music Introducing Uploader - but didn't know they were being considered for this incredible opportunity!
This free event, which is open to everybody, kicks off at 1pm and you're more than welcome to turn up anytime until 5pm.
