Highlights: Morton Stanley Festival, Redditch

It's become a fixture on the Redditch calendar and the Morton Stanley Festival returned last weekend.
More than 12,000 people flock to this free two-day summer music festival, organised by the local council.
Hazel O'Connor headlined this year's event.
Some of the best talent coming out of Redditch also took to the stage.

Highlights: The Ross-on-Wye Busking Festival

Buskers in Ross-on-Wye were invited, last weekend, to perform at a variety of locations across the town - to raise money to bring back the International Festival.
This was the first time anything on this scale had been organised, but the team behind it have been working on a number of events across the town "to test the waters".
Originally launched in 1996, the event had seen appearances from The Hollies, TheWaterboys, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Elkie Brooks, Van Morrison and Amy Winehouse - as well as dance, theatre and comedy.
Although a big hit with audiences, the festival was plagued with issues - from the main tent collapsing to flooding, eventually resulting in bankruptcy.
Several attempts to revive the festival have failed, with the Unintentional Festival and Jamstand also falling by the wayside.

Highlights: The Old Bush Blues Festival, Callow End

As the name suggests, the Old Bush Blues Festival is all about the blues and is held over three days at The Old Bush in Callow End between Worcester and Malvern.
The event was completely sold out, as it had been in previous years.
Originally started in Hampshire, campers from all over the country descended on the village for this annual celebration.

Highlights: The Stourport Country & Western Festival

The Stourport Country & Western Festival has been so successful, this year it was extended to two days.
Attracting fans from all over the country, this free event was put together by Wyre Forest District Council.
As well as live music, there were stalls selling a variety of goods, line dancing demonstrations and a fast draw shoot out!

Highlights: The Pershore Jazz Festival

Pershore Jazz has grown from small beginnings to become a well respected part of the British jazz scene.
Whilst their regular jazz club tends to be more traditional, the festival provides scope for a much wider range of jazz appreciation and they feel that following only one particular style means missing a lot of 'good' music.
Pershore Jazz are a not-for-profit organisation run by an unpaid committee dedicated to the cause of quality jazz for all to enjoy.

BBC Music Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival

It's been dubbed as Worcester's version of SXSW in Texas!
Taking place in multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, river cruisers, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from from some of the best, new and emerging artists in the UK.
Each year the festival raises money for a chosen local charity. This year the Worcestershire Association of Carers will receive all the money dropped into buckets at the festival's venues across the weekend.
On Sunday, 16 September, we'll be showcasing House of Wolvxs, Bryn Teeling & The River Thieves, Flex, Stone Mountain Sinners and Mitch Loveridge at Drummonds from 2pm.
