We deserved more respect than being water carriers for Shaqiri - Adam

Charlie Adam says he and Stoke City team-mates had earned more respect than being told to be water carriers for Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Swiss attacker moved to Liverpool after Stoke's relegation.

Adam said: "When you've got players who knew they were getting a move, whether they got relegated or not, it was inevitable what was going to happen".
