Reading FC: Bodvarsson recovering from ‘crazy’ World Cup

Royals striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is slowly adjusting back to life after his Russian adventure.

After playing for Iceland at the World Cup, Bodvarsson is looking to hit the ground running with Reading this season.

“It was crazy,” Bodvarsson told BBC Radio Berkshire’s Tim Dellor. “You always know it’s big, but when you’re there you can see what all the fuss is about.

“The atmosphere was just ridiculous.”

And Bodvarsson admits that he was aware how their performances had gripped the nation back home in Iceland.

“You could feel that the country was so behind us.

“It’s just something that the country’s never experienced before.”
