We’re delighted to announce the winners of our very special “What Sussex Means To Me” photo competition, set up as part of our celebrations of 50 years of BBC Local Radio from Brighton. We were inundated with hundreds of entries and the standard was incredibly high. Huge thanks to everyone who took part and to our judging panel – Sara David, Editor of BBC Sussex, Duncan Hall, Acting Editor of Sussex Life magazine and Professional Photographer Scott Ramsey.

Sara David commented “The entries were a joy to look at with a huge range of high quality images capturing the very essence of Sussex. Thank you to everyone who entered – we were so impressed with the standard and it’s clear that we’ve got so many very talented amateur photographers across the county.”

Our three winners will have their work displayed in a forthcoming issue of Sussex Life magazine and in our BBC Sussex reception.

The overall winner also receives an overnight stay for two at the Grand Hotel in Brighton.
