Ken Livingstone: ‘I don’t want to be a distraction from Corbyn’s campaign’
Ken Livingstone has resigned from the Labour Party.
The ex-London mayor has been suspended since 2016 in a row over allegations of anti-Semitism following comments he made about Hitler and Zionism.
Mr Livingstone told BBC Radio 5 live’s Tony Livesey his case "could drag on for another two or three years” and was therefore “a distraction” from Jeremy Corbyn’s campaign.
