I’d be gobsmacked if Ronaldo joined Man Utd – Laurens

Football journalist Julien Laurens says he would be “gobsmacked” if Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid to rejoin Manchester United.

According to reports, the 32-year-old has had a contract dispute with Real and has been linked with a return to Old Trafford, where he played between 2003 and 2009.

However, Laurens believes the Portugal forward’s age, and this week’s signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, mean there is “no room” in the United team for him.
