Cyrille Regis made racist fans embrace black footballers - Stan Collymore
Former Premier League footballer Stan Collymore has paid tribute to his "hero" Cyrille Regis.
Regis, the former West Brom and England striker, has died aged 59 after falling ill on Sunday night.
Collymore says Regis let his abilities do the talking in the battle against racism from the terraces, a stance which he says helped pave the way for subsequent black footballers such as himself, Ian Wright, Mark Bright and Andy Cole.
