Are players more likely to get injured at Christmas?
Man City boss Pep Guardiola says the Premier League festive schedule will 'kill' players but do players actually pick up more injuries in this period?
Injury analyst Ben Dinnery told 5 live Breakfast: “Levels of recovery are typically between 48 and 72 hours and so teams playing in a 48 hour period, those players are at a higher risk of injury.
“We tend to see a dramatic spike [in injuries] throughout December and January,” he added.
