Jack Wilshere 'should go to the World Cup' - Matt Elliott

Former Leicester and Scotland defender Matt Elliott says Gareth Southgate should include Jack Wilshere in his England squad for the 2018 World Cup.

Elliott says he would start the 25-year-old in Russia, and describes Eric Dier, Jake Livermore and Jack Cork as not being in the same calibre as Wilshere.

The Arsenal midfielder, whose career has been hampered by injuries, spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and is out of contract at Arsenal next summer.

He won the last of his 34 England caps at Euro 2016 in the last 16 defeat by Iceland.
