The Way We Cooked celebrates the colourful lives and influences on our eating habits of TV chefs down the decades, and begins with profiles of Fanny Cradock and Graham Kerr. (2002)

The colourful lives and influences on our eating habits of TV chefs down the decades are celebrated in this new three-part series, which opens with two of the earliest, and finest, examples: Fanny Cradock and Graham Kerr.

By today's standards, Cradock was over the top, but she added a touch of glamour to dowdy postwar Britain. Kerr, meanwhile, became a global success as "the Galloping Gourmet", with a laid-back style that has inspired today's generation of TV chefs. (2002)
