Ronaldo targets Ballon d’Or above club trophies – Honigstein
Cristiano Ronaldo is more concerned with winning the Ballon d’Or than trophies with Real Madrid, according to journalist Rafa Honigstein.
The striker won the award for a record-equalling fifth time on Thursday to move level with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
Last season, Ronaldo helped Real Madrid win the Champions League and their first La Liga title since 2012 but Honigstein believes individual recognition is more important to him.
