Why pole dancing should be classed as a sport

For the first time, the Global Association of International Sports Federation (GAISF) has granted pole dancing “observer status”, meaning it is now provisionally recognised as a sport. But can pole fitness ever be detached from its roots inside of strip clubs? Should it be?
