McLeish: ‘It’d be hard to turn down Scotland job’

Former Scotland boss Alex McLeish says 'it'd be hard to turn down' the job if his country came calling.

Gordon Strachan has left his position as Scotland manager by ‘mutual consent,’ four days after the team failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

McLeish's first stint in charge of Scotland saw him take charge of just 10 games, but it produced seven wins, including a triumph over France in Paris in 2007.

The former Rangers boss went on to win the League Cup with Birmingham, and had subsequent spells in charge at Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Belgian outfit Genk.
