Rooney is an England legend - Hodgson

Former England Roy Hodgson says Wayne Rooney retires from international football as a "legend".

Hodgson made Rooney his captain in August 2014 following Steven Gerrard's retirement.

"The man is legend. He is iconic, he has done everything it is possible to do really as a football player for your country," he said.
