Jenas: Coutinho transfer is deal of a lifetime for all parties
Former England internationals Jermaine Jenas and Darren Bent have their say on Philippe Coutinho’s proposed transfer to Barcelona after Liverpool turned down a reported £114m bid.
Both say they would have no hard feelings if they were team-mates of the Brazil midfielder.
Jenas said: “You respect the fact that they’ve done so well, you’d certainly never have a go at them in the changing room.
"This is the deal of a lifetime for both clubs – this isn’t just £60m, it’s a £114m deal.”
Bent added: “It’s all about supporting the player because in a team environment you become friends - and you want the best for your friends.”
