US Sanctions Venezuela's Maduro
US firms and individuals are banned from doing business with the Venezuelan leader
President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela has said that personal sanctions imposed on him by the United States are a sign of desperation and hate. The sanctions were imposed after Sunday's controversial vote for a new constituent assembly.
The new White House communications chief, Anthony Scaramucci, has been fired, ten days after being appointed.
