Bangkok's Criminal Court has begun delivering its verdicts in Thailand's largest people-smuggling trial. A Thai general and other officials are among the hundred defendants in the case. They're accused of involvement in the trafficking, kidnapping and murder of Bangladeshi nationals and Rohingya Muslims escaping Myanmar.

Doctors have revealed details of the world's first successful double hand transplant in a child. The specialists said an eight year-old American boy - Zion Harvey - who was operated on a year and a half ago is now able to write, feed and dress himself independently.
