All Blacks red card 'outstanding officiating'
Rugby union reporter Chris Jones says Jerome Garces' decision to send off the All Blacks' Sonny Bill Williams during their second Test against the British and Irish Lions was "outstanding officiating".
The centre became the first All Black in 50 years to be sent off after he lead with the shoulder and connected with Anthony Watson’s head whilst attempting to tackle the Lions wing.
Jones said: "Absolutely outstanding officiating because so many times people talk about the referees being intimidated by the black shirt,
"He deserves an enormous amount of credit for making a call that brave because a lot of ref's wouldn't have done it."
The Lions levelled the Test series after beating the All Blacks 24-21, becoming the first side to beat New Zealand on home soil since 2009.
