Zoo tiger death: Eyewitness describes moments after attack
A zoo-keeper has been killed by a tiger at Hamerton Zoo Park in Cambridgeshire. Dad Pete Davis described the moments after the attack.
Pete was on a day out with his family, he told 5 live Breakfast: “We just heard a scream and one of the girls just shouted ‘run!’ A few of us ran in to one of the small zoo-keepers' rooms by the enclosure and we stood in there until it we were told it was clear to go.”
“As we came out we were ushered further away but we were still looking at what was going on. You could obviously see the keepers were all distressed.”
The zoo-keeper has been named as 33-year-old Rosa King.
