The Arts Hour at the Hay Festival
The Arts Hour comes from the Hay Festival in Wales, with author Elif Shafak, novelist Jaroslav Kalfar, poet Sabrina Mahfouz, songwriter John Grant and music from Inna Modja.
This week The Arts Hour comes from the Hay Literary Festival in Wales. Joining Nikki Bedi in front of an audience at the BBC tent are, Turkey’s biggest selling woman author Elif Shafak, Czech novelist Jaroslav Kalfar and American singer-song writer John Grant. They’re joined by British Egyptian poet and playwright Sabrina Mahfouz who performs some of her poetry, and there is live music from Malian French musician Inna Modja.
