Toseland: Hayden the nicest MotoGP rider there had ever been

Former MotoGP rider James Toseland paid tribute to former world champion Nicky Hayden, who died aged 35 in a crash while cycling.

The Kentucky-born racer first competed in MotoGP in 2003 and finished third in the standings two years later. He ended Valentino Rossi's five-year winning streak in 2006 following a dramatic final race in Valencia.

Briton Toseland told BBC Radio 5 live about the man he raced against many times:"His dedication, his professionalism, his personality. He was known in the paddock as the nicest Grand Prix racer there ever has been".
