How Manchester and the UK reacted after the blast that killed 22 at a pop music concert.
Perhaps it wasn't surprising that, sooner or later, Britain would fall victim to another mass casualty terror attack. But it still felt shocking. And it gained extra significance with a general election only a matter of days away.
