Japanese Approves Emperor Akihito's Abdication Plan
This is the first time in two centuries that a monarch is stepping down in Japan
The Japanese cabinet has approved a draft law to allow the ailing Emperor Akihito to abdicate.
President Trump says he thought his decision last week to sack the FBI chief, James Comey, which sparked a storm of controversy, would receive bipartisan support. He denied that he or his team had colluded with Russia during last year's election, and again complained of a witch hunt.
