McClaren: Fan comments cost me Aston Villa job

Steve McClaren says the comments of fans on message boards cost him the opportunity to manage Aston Villa.

The former England, Newcastle and Derby boss says he was told by Villa they wouldn't be proceeding with his appointment due to the outrage online.
