Reading FC: Stam says Norwich just unfortunate result
The Royals boss Jaap Stam was in a reflective mood following 7-1 reverse at Carrow Road.
Stam says that whilst you could search for faults in the Norwich defeat, sometimes results like this just happen.
"You don't want to lose with a score like this," Stam told BBC Radio Berkshire's Tim Dellor. "Players don't do it on purpose.
"Sometimes you've got these games where it is just not working out, and then with the opposition every ball falls at their feet, they get all the second balls, every shot is on target...and every shot on target is a goal."
But Stam stressed that they didn't take the Norwich test lightly.
"This happens. It is not about thinking easy about the opposition.
"We're not in the position to think that we could beat anybody."
